Alpha Kappa Rho

Alpha Kappa Rho (also known as AKRHO, AKP, and SKEPTRON) is a fraternity/sorority which exists to create a bridge between all men and women who are committed to seek the social advancement of under-represented populations. The organization was founded on August 8, 1973 at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. Official founding Skeptrons headed by the leadership of Bro. Jose "BOY" Chua. The organization was registered at the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-profit and non-dividend corporation and was also the first humanitarian organization to be chartered indepedent from its mother country. In the same university, the organization has also pioneered an Inter-Collegiate Brotherhood and until now it is known to Philippine Schools, Universities and Colleges as Alpha Kappa Rho Inter-Collegiate Humanitarian Service Fraternity and Sorority. Alpha Kappa Rho has also established alumni chapters abroad (Filipino communities) promoting humanitarian brotherhood.
The Skeptron Society has always been and always will be an organization steeped in the tradition of the past and dedicated to the pursuit of brotherhood and sisterhood. The organization is made up of men and women from all cult, religious background and interests. It has spread throughout the archipelago and throughout the world as Alpha Kappa Rho International Humanitarian Service - Alumni Fraternity and Sorority. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, disability, creed, political beliefs, sexual preference, etc. but maintain loyalty, and unity, while striving for patience, perseverance and pride.
